We would like to invite you to an authorial self-protection weekend course for women, based on many years of experience in martial arts and Moshe Feldenkrais's method of somatic education, which combines martial arts techniques with body awareness training through movement.
Stability, mobility, balance,
coordination, and skeleton connection, improving self image, feeling the body and mind connection are just a few benefits of the Feldenkrais Method.
We work with body and mind in such a way that we optimise the nervous system and the potential freedom of movements. The Feldenkrais Method employs Judo's unique use of the balance of the body and the body's power station, called the Hara in Japanese.
As a result stress and pain and pain in the body are minimised, you will gain surplus, power and awareness in your daily life as you get to know more about yourself.
“I have had the privilege to teach women self-protection for over 9 years, and for 3,5 years I have been also teaching women, who have been raped, beaten up and forced to prostitution. After 6 months of training those women called it not only a self-protection but also self-esteem training. So for me Feldenkrais method is a lot about empowerment and trusting your gut feeling - that is self-protection and when it gets physical it is fighting and ultimately survival.
So what do I teach? Of course self-defence and movement and a lot of awareness training but what I really do is empower women to be free, strong and happy, to like themselves more. And that for me is a gift. I learn as much from these women as they learn from me.
Will you allow me as well?”
